"To the arts community, it seemed like a simple plan: Celebrate Annapolis's 300th anniversary by hanging huge pieces of history-themed art in public places around town. Public art, history, featured in one of the nation's most historic cities -perfect."
William Wan, WASHINGTON POST
"A fanciful but vibrant painting of downtown Annapolis by artist Sy Mohr shows fewer people than most of Mr. Mohr's paintings because the unique historic buildings, themselves, become characters in the daily drama of life." Earl Kelly, THE CAPITAL
"He (Mr. Belt) does incredible things," Merrill Lynch vice president Richard M. Crabtree said. "Annapolis needs more people like him.
Mr. Belt said his involvement in ArtWalk has rekindled his passion for art, and he is considering working on some larger pieces.
Then , he returned to his facorite topics, telling how Christ has improved his life, and he wants to improve life for the children of Clay Street."

"Greg Harlin's 16-foot by 7 1/2-foot painting shows John Paul Jones' sloop Ranger closing in on a British ship, probably HMS Drake, in the Irish Sea. Gun Ports are open, and in only moments the firing will commence. When all is over, Drake will strike her colors in defeat. "The artist has put in a great deal of effort to make this accurate to the best of our knowledge, since we have no plans of the Ranger," said Dr. J. Scott Harmon, director of the Naval Academy Museum."

"As a downtown businessman, I commend the city and the people of Artwalk on the recent mural addition at City Dock. This is a fabulous example of how the public and private sectors can band together to create something that will surely be of benefit to us all. Art not only adds beauty and interest to otherwise dull areas but can also serve as a window into our history. In times when budgets are being cut and opposing views are a plenty, it is refreshing to see that the city still stands behind its businesses and takes pride in its appearance. "
